Here's the post I had been about to start. I'm looking for information on medieval houses, shops, churches (not the massive cathedrals), specifically floorplans and sizes and generally for those without wealth

So what is a cruck style cottage?

I googled it, and Googled asked if I meant "crunk" style cottages. *cringes*

Are you looking for specifics or generalities (i.e., Pictish roundhouses were generally X or Y feet wide or THIS pictish house was X.2 feet wide)?

If there is an image somewhere I can access which references the dimensions, that would be dandy to help put things into perspective.
