I cant believe what has happened to New Orleans. I know that they have been hit by a hurricane before but its been so long i think, that i dont remember. It doesnt matter because nothing this bad has ever hit them. The city is totally demolished. I feel so sorry for the people there. I wanted to move to New Orleans so bad. Its one of the coolest

I wonder what Lestat is doing right now?

Well if Lestat is smart, he would take Louis and move. I'm sure Lestat has other houses. If nothing else, he could evacuate to the Night Island if Armand still owns that.

Luckily, I hear the French Quarter wasn't as affected as other places and if this is true, I am grateful.

They also said that there are hundreds of dead bodies floating in the water, and they arent bothering to count the death toll. The bodies are going to start building diseases and they havent done anything about it. I doubt that they are going to rebuild the city too...because its below sea level. My manager and I were talking about that...its sad because I wanted to go to Mardi Gras...well, they have 2 years to rebuild it...so hop to it! LOL (I know, I should laugh) But yea...people wont be allowed back into the city until about December...thats sad.

Where Mardi Gras is held was not affected according to the Miami Herald.

Its such a huge part of their income its really going to hurt them worse not having it this year.
