the "news"

remind me not to watch the news during the day. i think i saw a new all time low when msnbc had an actress from the soap opera "one life to live" on for views on censorship and the media. what ever happened to real news reporting? isn't there anything more important to talk about than janet's breast? must the news cover everyone from spike lee to ( Read more... )

And what? Talk about job loss? The poor economy? The farce of war that we waged in Iraq? The government's systemic policy of lies? Lack of health care for the majority of Americans? Corporate crime? That the Bill of Rights is little more than a vestige of the promise that it once offered?

Then people wouldn't spend money.

EXACTLY!

But you know that the audience does play a big part of this lovely craze as well. If half the population wasn't so ingulped in the entertainment industry then I think we'd see better news reports.
