You really need to be open to the possibility that you might not get accepted there. I'm not saying it'll happen, and I'm not saying that you should lose hope in getting accepted, but both you and dad are acting like it is a done deal, and it really isn't yet and if it ends up not happening, man will the two of you be beside yourselves. He's not going to give it consideration, but you definitely should. The best case scenario won't change, but the worst case scenario won't seem half as shitty.
