Can anyone explain why the York Express 196 Bus travels in packs? It is suppost to be at FS (fast service which is under 10min) at 10 am but I waited over ten minutes this morning and three buses show up at once.  Two of these buses were out of services.  Shouldn't driver breaks be  staggered ( Read more... )

No no no. FS is not fast service. It's frequent service. The TTC never promised fast. And frequent just means on average there are lots of buses on the route, even if they do arrive in 4 packs.

I hope that clears up any confusion. :)

So many buses do that. They're not supposed to. In fact I think they've actually got timers on the buses to stop that from happening but I don't think there's any actual consequence for the drivers when they mess up their routes.

Work is always like that. I used to take everyone's shifts as favours until I realized that not everyone else would return the favour when I needed time off.

OSAP is horrid. I never could figure out why I had to fight every year to borrow money when they'd be making a ton of interest off of me later. Their math also makes no sense. Once my Dad messed up a form and used the wrong tax info and when they re-evaluated it they said he made $1000 more than he claimed. They were right about that but then they took $2000 away from me. How does him making a little more mean that it all came directly to me? and now does suddenly it's value double? Asshats the lot of them.
