Your mom was there for you for those first thirteen years of your life and you still get to see her and visit her. She doesn't have to open her door for you. She didn't have to teach you the things you know now. Yeah sure Nancy is not your real mom but she is your stepmom and i am sure as hell she cares about you as if you were her birth daughter. Yes Marcie, your mom did "give up" on you at thirteen and she could have easily cut you out of her life completely. but she didn't. She didn't give up on you...you gave up on her. I know you say your little sisters are the lucky ones but you got two mothers and two fathers. Marcie you are so lucky. At times i find myself a little jealous of you cuz you got two sets of both parents, a big family and you do not have to put up with everything i once did and still kind of do.
