the virgin suicides [so good when you watch the movie then read the book], a heartbreaking work of staggering genius, how soon is never, nothing feels good, white oleander, election. hope that helps :]

Ahh yeah someone else just recommended Naked Lunch so I'm excited to get on that. I'll add those other ones too. Jamie. I miss you. You should come to this drag show with me at the Hartford Stage in a few weeks.

as long as you're reading murakami, i recommend his Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. i'm actually reading his Norweigen Wood right now. Other than that, you should read The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon, the collected works of ee cummings, American Psycho, and and and...

THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY!

i don't know if you've read it or not, but if not, that should jump to the top of the list. most definitely.

also, read anything by Vonnegut.

Already a Vonnegut/Easton Ellis fan but I just amazoned The Crying of Lot 49 and it looks interesting. I'm really psyched to get to Norweigan Wood/Kafka on the Shore but Wind-Up Bird was the only Murakami that wasn't checked out from the library so I'll have to wait.
