today is summer plus work day number two. i don't have to be at work until one in the afternoon, and i definitely did not go to bed early, but somehow my body thinks 730 is the appropriate time for me to wake up, for the second day in a row. let's hope there's not a trend happening here.

i am taking a six month detour in my academic career next year. i have been invited to stay on dillon's dad's ranch, and i am taking advantage of the offer. i wish i could sum up what this will mean for me, but let's just say that i am going to be learning a lot ( Read more... )

last night was nice. i ran into brian at the leo kottke (sp?) concert. we stayed at the park for a while after the concert was over, and then we picked up willow and headed into the canyon.

we camped out on the sand after some beer and drumming, then i woke up early and took a dip in the creek.

summer setting in.

so, i have a list of cars to look at. the two that stuck out to me were a 92 honda accord lx, automatic with 120,000 miles on it for $3500/OBO, and a 91 celica (grey) 5 spd with 122,000 miles for $3000/OBO.

i have that stupid hoobastank song stuck in my head. hoobastank. what a horrible horrible name. and i can think of no other way to describe that song other than soundvomit.
