Smallville Season 1 Rewatch: Feelings about Lana Lang (And Other Characters)

I'm rewatching Smallville, starting from the first season. Who knows how long this desire will last (because of bouts of lazyness), but I'm done with season 1!

I've resolved to pay closer attention to Lana during this rewatch, something I didn't have time for when the show was airing live as I was too busy being frustrated at the show's decisions

Yeah, my dislike/hatred of Lana has really ebbed. Maybe it has to do with the fact that, though no character ever called her out, the writers did have her get interested in/hook up with Lex. And considering the track Lex was on, that kind of spoke for itself? Whereas with Chloe, the writers were determined not to acknowledge the ugly side of her personality, not even after she protected Doomsday! How does that happen?!
