To buy or not to buy...

On an earlier post I talked about a house I was going to look at.

Well, I looked at it.  I just don't know if the house is "worth it". The asking price is 165k.  It has a beautiful yard on the river with a boat dock and gorgeous balcony and patio.  The yard is nearly worth it...

The house, eh, average.  Not bad by any stretch of the imagination.

You know... I'm going to be frank. That looks exactly like every other mid-entry house in St. Albans and Cross Lanes, and none of them have ever done anything for me. They're just all exactly alike. No character.

In this market, they're asking WAAAAY too much for that house.

But the YARD... and the BALCONY and the PATIO and the HYOOGE GARAGE TO PUT MY BIKE!!!

I've been researching and that house is actually under priced compared to all the others in the neighborhood. The average cost is 93.68/sq foot and that would put the price at 172k.

I just dont know. I am SO indecisive about everything!!! Which is why I have paid over 35k in rent since my divorce in '03.
