Maybe "pretty, slightly fey young Brits" is my type, because I liked Loki better than Thor, too.

I finally saw X-Men: First Class. It was actually a good movie, as long as I didn't remember it was, you know, X-Men. Alternate universe, I kept telling myself, alternate universe. It's not like Marvel doesn't have enough of them ( Read more... )

Hm, yeah, I thought the movie was more enjoyable to those who didn't know the comics (like me), because they can just watch the movie without worrying about their canon being screwed over. I mean, it's not even a real superhero movie; it's a bit of (badly warped) recent history with social commentary, badly masking a love story. Or is that just me?

And arguing about whether McAvoy or Fassbender is hotter is, uhm, like arguing about chocolate? Because no matter what you prefer, it's all great, so just focus on the (eye)candy. God, that's a silly comparison.

See, self, this is what bookmarks are supposed to be for. I'll have to see what I can piece together from other reclists when I get back from the match today, if that's ok?

If it's any help: you can find my Delicious bookmarks here. It's not much, but maybe you'll find something you like. ^^

And I agree with sweetestremedy - I found the movie highly enjoyable, but then I don't know much about the X-Men comic canon. (And Fassbender is a god, but I also really liked McAvoy.)

*Solemnly* Loki is Norse, not British, Angua. Don't let him deceive you.
