Even in the dark, Julian's eyes glow like a lighthouse. Landon thinks that it might have something to do with the brightbrightbright near transluscent blue of his irises. They remind him of a river, rushing and rushing and smelling like innocence. If Landon were a writer (and that would make things too easy, Julian so easily enamored by painted words and similes and metaphors and paradoxes), he would say that he could drown in them. At times, they are endless and all-consuming. He thinks that even at the vastness of the bottom ocean, Julian's eyes will shine like a star.
These thoughts come to him now, in the darkness of his murky closet (and there are so many ways to answer to that phrase that it's not even funny anymore) and Julian's eyes glimmering like diamonds. He snorts at the image of Julian thrashing and twisting underwater. My little pussycat, he thinks.
"What are you laughing at?" And true to his label, his kitty hisses.
Landon gets the ridiculous urge to pet Julian on the head and he's never one to resist his urges. "You, my sweet pussy," he purrs.
Julian shrieks. "WHAT?" He sputters from the space he moved to away from Landon's hand because, fuck, he is not a little boy, or a pet for Christ's sake, and he is not letting Landon anywhere near his hair because he totally has these creepy stalker feelings for Julian's (admittedly) 'banana hair'. Julian looks scandalized, and Landon can imagine him in fur, bristling and tails and ears arched up straight like a pole. He almost looks like he'll bite the redhead if he comes any closer and that's the only thing keeping Landon from saying 'aww'.
Bite marks might be hot, but he sure as hell isn't letting those teeth anywhere near his biceps.
Instead, he chuckles and shakes his head affectionately (overly, Julian thinks, and, okay, that actually scares him, because Landon trying to be affectionate is a scary sight). "You're my little pussycat," he explains in a voice that clearly says 'you should already know this'.
If possible, Julian looks even more scandalized at the notion. Again, fuck you, Landon, he is not a pet, most of all, he is not your fucking kitty cat.
"Aww," Landon croons, unable to resist, "yes, you are. You are my little baby Julian cat." He moves forward and Julian seems to forget to bite him because he manages to wrap his arms around the said kitty cat relatively unscathed. Relatively because Julian does elbow him, even if it was more a reflex to surprise than anything. "You are cute, and precious, and so, so lovable."
Julian crosses his arms, but with the space left between the two bodies, it's a pretty hard task. He glowers at the boy in front of him. But seeing as Landon only continues to smile cheekily at him (even tightens his hold on him), he then huffs and turns his face away.
"Aww, come on, kitten, look at me," Landon urges. He rubs his nose on the space between Julian's neck and shoulder but when the said boy doesn't even turn his way to glare, he straightens again and frowns. "Julie. Please?" he coos.
Julian stays firm and stares a hole at the wall.
Landon sighs and presses his forehead on the side of Julian's. "What is it, baby?"
Julian face visibly reddens and he grins. It drops as soon as Julian's body stiffens in defense and he rocks their bodies to a silent song. "Yes, Julie?" and he goes as far as singing. Dammit, Landon, where is your male pride?
"Mnprsh."
"What, kitten?"
"Mntprshuss."
"Julie, what?"
Julian suddenly turns to him, and Landon barely sees the frustration and embarrassment before Julian screams, "I said I'm not precious!"
Landon blinks and Julian's face turns even brighter. He halfheartedly tries to shuffle away but as soon as Landon feels the warmth lessening, he winds his arms around his cat's waist to lock his fingers together and pulls him back. Julian drops his head and, because he can't continue crossing his arms without it being painful, he holds unto Landon's yellow shirt and tries to hide from Landon's face.
You are, Landon thinks, you're precious and all mine.
"You are. Everything you do is wonderfully cute and adorable and you're my sweet pumpkin pie," he says instead, because although Julian doing things, like smiling at him, makes him feel like goo inside and the world disappear, he doesn't want to let Julian know just yet. And the thing is, it's not because of pride or dignity or anything like that. It's because he's not ready to open himself up like that, not yet. He's scared to open up like that, and that scares him above all else. Nothing scares him like feelings, nothing scares him like Julian does. And he's afraid that Julian will leave him but he doesn't like letting go either.
He can feel the warmth coming from Julian's face seep into his shirt and because he doesn't like Julian not looking up at him, either, his hands go up to his jaw and tilt the face up. Julian looks at him, caught of guard and still embarrassed. His flush shines like a fucking sun but even that isn't as bright as those damned eyes, eyes that glow in the darkest tunnel and remind him of the sky and, shit, he doesn't even notice it until he's done saying it.
"I adore you, Julie."
This isn't the first time Landon says it, but always, it gets him winded. Julian doesn't notice because he seems to melt when he hears the words and even though the blush doesn't go away, he smiles, just a little, at Landon.
Landon doesn't even ask, just swoops in and presses their lips together. "Hmm," Landon hums contentedly, right here, with Julian this close to him, "Forgive me?"
Julian makes a disgruntled noise and turns his head to the side to slot their mouths closer.
Landon smiles. "Yeah, okay." He moves his hands to the back of his head and tangles them among the blond hair. He can feel Julian's own going up, up, until their resting lightly on his collar bone.
(Meanwhile, Isaiah texts his girlfriend an apology for being late because his two friends are kind of blocking the door. And he smiles bigger when his girlfriend replies.
Again, honey? They must really like being in the closet ;P)

I apologize for the inconsistencies and it's sort-of rushedness. I typed the whole thing in our iPad and the only place I really like making stories is a computer or a laptop :/ I'm a very picky writer, yes.
Also, sorry for the OOCness.
I was actually in our awarding day thingie and I was inexplicably bored and needed to do something. So I figured I could try making a story in my phone and I wanted to write for something that's not BFF but for some reason, I couldn't find it in myself to not write BFF and when I tried to think of a way to start whatever it is I was gonna make, I thought about eyes glowing in the dark.
But Teddy's eyes aren't the type to glow in the dark and I don't think Vincent's would either. And then I remembered Julian's eyes and suddenly YES. THAT. THAT IS PERFECT.
And this baby was born :3
This was actually supposed to be relatively short (and I mean, like, maybe half of this or something) but then it just got longer and oh well.
