He was so absorbed in the text that he didn't notice anyone approaching. Besides, that was his bodyguard's purpose.
His one free hand toyed with the end of his braid absently. He'd have to attend to diplomacy eventually, but right now, he took the chance he had.

He cast a look back to the bodyguard, a look of warning for them to not be disturbed. All the while, he said not a word.

Oh, he hadn't even thought of this, but now that it was in front of him and he was stunned that he hadn't realised that he would be here.
