I am so depressed/upset.  I just found out that I probably will be graduating (receiving my diplomas) in December, which means that I can't participate in this year's graduation ceremonies as a graduate.  Which means that I won't be able to apply for a teaching job for September, since I won't have a degree.  Which means that I will either have to

Aw, honey, I think you should look at this as a good thing. Lots of people take time off after college, intentionally or not. Seriously, one of my friends graduated from college three years ago and is still working at starbucks while looking for steady field-related work.

After working so hard in school for so long, I think you might appreciate a few months with no school and a job that requires nothing of you after you leave for the day. And at the end of all this, you come out with TWO degrees. Count 'em, TWO. I am so super proud of you.

I love you. I am feeling much better since that post. You could be right, I might appreciate some time off, but I'm pretty sure my student loans will come a knockin'. And just so you know, I'm super proud of you as well. You have just blossomed into this amazing woman and I know that you will be a fantastic mother. Your peanut is quite lucky.
