Yoseob stared at the locker for awhile with the light blue envelope squeezed in his hand. Once he made sure no one was around, he took a deep breath and opened the locker. Throwing the envelope into the locker, he closed the door and ran away as fast as he could. The whole process occurred in just 10 seconds, and Yoseob thought he would be able to get away with it before an arm hooked around his waist when he ran past the corner.
“Not so fast, Yang Yoseob,” a deep voice spoke. “I saw what you did there.”
Yoseob panicked. He was about to scream or protest but no words came out of his mouth.
‘Shoot! I got caught!’ He shut his eyes and bit his lower lip. ‘This is the end.’

A peck was place on Yoseob’s cheek, making him open his eyes to find Junhyung’s smirking face in front of him. Yoseob’s jaw dropped on the spot.
“Y-You…” He stuttered as he covered his kissed flushing cheek.
“Your cute expression was calling for a kiss, Yang Yo,” Junhyung’s grin got wider upon seeing the short boy’s face turn beet red.
“You scared the crap out of me, Junhyung!” Yoseob whined and tried to pry Junhyung’s arm off him without noticing his own eyes were filled with tears already. “Are you out of your mind?!”
“It can’t be help, Seobie. You looked so adorable acting suspicious there,” the brunette giggled some more, then hugged the younger one, patting his head. “Aw, don’t cry.”
Yoseob responded with a bone-crushing hug before pulling away.
“If you dare to do that again, I swear I’ll kill you, Yong Junhyung,” he grunted.
“Fierce Yang Yo,” Junhyung snickered. “So what were you doing there? Sending another love letter to Doojoon - hmph-”
He was cut off by Yoseob’s hand over his mouth.
“Do you have to be that loud?” Yoseob gasped in a quiet voice. “Want the whole school know that I’m having a crush on h- WAH!”
The black haired boy jerked his hand back before rubbing his palm against Junhyung’s shirt violently.
“Bastard! Why you licked me?! That’s gross!!” Yoseob grumbled while his taller friend licked his plump lips with a mischievous grin plastered on his face.
“Just serve you right, kid. Don’t ever interrupt your hyung as he’s talking.”
“Who’s ‘your hyung’? We’re in the same class!”
“But I’m older.”
“For only half a month.”
“Still count.”
Yoseob rolled his eyes, giving up to the witty brunette.
“I don’t wanna talk to you anymore,” he huffed, earning another smile from Junhyung.
“I know. You’d rather talk to Doo-”
“Junhyung!” Yoseob snapped again.
“What? I thought you said you wouldn’t talk to me?” Junhyung asked innocently, trying to hold back laughter while looking at Yoseob’s angry face.
“I hate you!” The latter stomped his feet.
“Nah, you know that you love me, kid.” Junhyung chuckled and ruffled Yoseob’s bangs.
“By the way, why don’t you just tell him directly that you like him? I doubt if he ever reads your letters since he’s got too many love letters from his fangirls every day,” the older continued.
“I prefer it this way. It’s fine to be his secret admirer,” Yoseob let out a sigh when he removed Junhyung’s hand from his hair. “And you know, it would hurt if I got rejected.” He smiled, lowering his voice.
“Awww...” cooed the taller guy. Then he wrapped his arm around Yoseob’s shoulders and pulled him in for another hug. “Don’t be so pathetic. I’ll buy you ice-cream, okay?”
Upon hearing that, Yoseob’s head shot up, and his face brightened instantly.
“Really? You’re the best, Junnie~,” he chirped and was about to return Junhyung’s embrace when the other unexpectedly pushed him away.
“I remember it now. You said you hated me. No ice-cream for haters,” Junhyung said bluntly, turning round to leave.
“I was kidding, Junnie! I love you now!” Yoseob squealed, as clinging to his best friend’s arm. He took another glance at the locker once again before they walked out of the hall.

Junhyung squinted at the small flickering flame in front of him. It was the only light in his dark room, and he could feel its warmth on his skin.
“It’d hurt if I got rejected,” he mumbled, watching the burnt paper slowly turned into ash.
His cell phone vibrated in his pocket, and he grinned, knowing right away who the caller was. He pulled his phone out; eyes never left the burning paper on the floor. A smirk appeared on his lips as the last line ‘To: Yoon Doojoon’ was devoured by the lazy fire.
“Hello, Yang Yo,” Junhyung answered the call with a low voice. “I just thought of you…”
Once the flame was gone, the whole room fell into the darkness and silence again.
‘There’s no way that I let you know about my feelings.’
