Well I tried my best to write this tutorial since I had issues with the my internet i've been messing around in photoshop alot more. Hope it makes sense. I've never been good at teaching ^_^.

uhm, ya know, I'm beginner at PS so I still dont get this point. U said :"I also had to change the colors to 64 to have this icon fit LJ standards" Actually, how did u change the colour? :D:D

Well you may not have to change it. That was just for me. When you open Adobe Image Ready it has a box on the right called "Output Settings". Usually you adjust these to get the size down. You can also use this to decide what format you want your image in. If you don't see this box you can open it in Window -> Output Settings. Sorry i'm typing this blindly without the program open so i'm doing my best.
