On the other hand I appreciate the Mo in this story, who is more of a normally-straight-daddy-but-casually-queer-guy.
I love the way you put that. It's so true, yet really funny.
You can bet I'll keep writing! I'm seeing the movie for the first time today (yay!), so that should get me inspired to write even more.
Your English is pretty good, no need to apologize about it! I can barely communicate in the languages I've tried to study. ^^;;
by the way, I always thought of Meggie and Mo being originally German, but was at the same time confused about them touring around in Italy with no language-problems
That is weird, isn't it? I guess it might just be one of those details you're not supposed to think about.
Thanks for the review!

I personally got another Mo in my mind after reading the book (not so much of a suburb daddy than Ben Fraser looks like), also a younger, cuter Meggie (who is NOT named Mary Sue) and a young, clever Farid. Didn't like the logical mistakes within the movie, but WHATEVER, you're gonna love Paul Bettany. His despair. His innocence.
He's worth all of he strange decisions they made.
(And yes, I may see the movie again x).)

Just got back from the movie. I must say, I mostly agree with you, except about Brendan Fraser (but that's just because I'm a Brendan Fraser fangirl). I also sort of like that they enhanced Meggie's part (since the first book was mostly about her), but Farid wasn't done nearly well enough. The movie was a little strangely put together. I can't quite put my finger on it specifically, but something was just... off. For people who haven't read the book, I think some things would come off as a little confusing.
The scene where Dustfinger finds out about the end of Inkheart just made me squeal. It was too precious. I'll have to see it again just for that scene (and his delicious half-naked body, but let's pretend I'm not that shallow). I love how he hides behind Mo when Fengolio shows up. Protective much, Mo?
