Thanks for writing for me! I'm Liviania on AO3, in case you're checking if you're looking at the right letter.
I have signed up for tricks and treats for all fandoms. It's all good. I like fluff, I like horror, I like cute things and dark things. Whatever appeals to you!
This year I asked for fic in all fandoms. I love art, but I can barely write prompts for it on a good day and I was drawing a blank when signing up so I just left it off completely because it would be horribly unfair to let an artist match to me. Unfortunately, I'm not much better at prompts for fic. Thus, feel free to ODAO anything (aside from my DNWs). I don't have many DNWs, and feel free to ask if you want clarification about any.
DNW:
Rape (dubcon is fine)
Cheating (poly situations or AUs where the canon couple never happened or breakups are all fine)
Body horror (except in horror stories)
Hurt/comfort (I've recently had a discussion with someone about h/c, and I think it is more specifically the sick!fic genre that I don't want. I don't mind characters getting injuries and having them realistically treated; in fact, I prefer that to characters shrugging off bullet wounds.)
A few general likes:
Humor
Violence and/or gore
Fantastical AUs/fusions (superheroes, vampires, Animorphs, etc.)
Genderswap
On to the specific fandom requests:
Burnt (2015)
Adam Jones (Burnt)
For tricks, I'm curious about Adam before the movie. What was he like when he was learning to cook? How did he go off the rails and just how far did he sink after he left the culinary world for awhile?
Tricks would also be good for Adam's relationship with Reece, even before or after the movie. I'd be happy to see more of them as rivals pushing each other to become better cooks, but I definitely ship it and would read all about their antagonist relationship exploding into something passionate and then becoming more.
Or, more fantastically, maybe the kitchen has to cook something for an inhuman diet.
For treats, it would be interesting to see how Adam proceeds now that his life is on a more even keel and he's opened himself up to truly caring about people. How would he even react to being in a healthy relationship?
For something thematic, maybe he's planning a Halloween feast with lots of descriptions of fancy food? (I honestly will not object to 300 words of food porn because I spend way too much of my time watching chefs on TV.)
This could also be good if you want to write about his relationship with Tony. I like the turn it takes at the end of the movie with their kiss, and Adam seeming surprisingly into it while Tony has moved on. Maybe Adam turns to wooing Tony (and is ridiculously horrible at it)?
The reviews of Burnt made it sound pretty average, so I didn't mark it down as a must-see even though I am pretty fond of canons (and reality shows) that involve cooking. When I gave it a chance, I really enjoyed it and the characters stuck in my mind.
I do not ship Adam/Helene. They both seemed to regret their one-night stand. I would not object to Helene being in the story; I enjoyed their friendship and think they're important to each other personally (as friends) and professional. (Plus, she's good for forcibly making Adam act like an adult.)
Penny Dreadful (TV)
Brona Croft | Lily Frankenstein
I would kill for a fic that reunites Brona/Lily with Ethan Chandler, because that was a massive missed opportunity. I don't know if they could ever have a relationship again, after all they've been through, but I think both of them could use another person who cares for them in their lives.
But Lily is ripe for fic since she's immortal. What is life through the centuries like for her? I can't imagine she ever settles down, so what causes does she fight for? Does she try out careers? I can see her eventually becoming a doctor herself and saving women's children that way. Or maybe she works to bust up trafficking rings. Does she take more young prostitutes under her wing?
On the trickier side, I'd love to see Lily encountering and fighting monsters. (Maybe even people gone mad with rage from Lord Hyde's formula?) Does she ever meet Dorian again, and how does that shitshow go?
I'm not in love with the end of Penny Dreadful, but there's no need to pretend it didn't happen. Especially since I found Lily's canon story fairly satisfying. (I brought up Dorian almost entirely because his character never felt well-integrated into the show, but I think there's potential in the whole constantly one-upping-himself depraved immortal thing.)
I am not interested in a story about Brona and her baby daughter, but I don't mind her loss being involved in a story. I feel like women-as-mothers is a bit overdone and there are so many aspects of Lily I find more interesting.
Preacher (TV)
Jesse Custer
Tulip O'Hare
Proinsias Cassidy
I ship Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy is basically all combinations, so if you want to write shipfic, just go for it.
I mean, obviously I want road trip shenanigans with Jesse figuring out his power and Tulip being a badass and Cassidy being a ridiculous vampire. (I seriously do not want to wait for season two and any day now my place in the hold line will come up and I'll get to read the comics ...)
For more individual prompts:
Jesse - He really seemed to channel his guilt over his past into fulfilling his promise to his father and his father's dreams. Now that he knows God is missing, how does that guilt manifest now? Something about him being haunted by Eugene would also be good.
Tulip - I loved Tulip's first appearance, bonding with a few kids over mayhem, and liked how she seemed friendly with all the women in the whorehouse. I'd be interested in something about Tulip making some more interesting friends, since she seems to have a knack for it. Or maybe a scene from her hitman days.
Cassidy - He's obviously been on the run from vampire hunters for awhile. A vampire vs. vampire hunter encounter is always fun. What are other vampires like and what do they think Cassidy is up to while he's been laying low? What do they think about him taking up with a preacher? Cassidy getting drunk and doing something stupid.
This is definitely a good canon for stories about the characters running into mythological beings.
I will re-iterate that I have not read the comics. You can include references to comic canon, but I won't notice.
I loved the strangeness of Preacher and how it trusted the viewers to put things together for themselves and to be patient enough to wait until they had enough information to make unexplained things make some sort of sense. I think this canon is ripe for a more experimental approach (not that I'd turn down a traditional story).
Similar to my comment on Penny Dreadful, I'm not interested in fic centered around Tulip's miscarriage.
