Chapter 5 ~Murder at Kiroshima House~ the curse~ last part of case
Yuki held on to Ryosuke who was rubbing her back to calm her down. Even Ryosuke himself had to admit, the scene had been scary.
“So, two have died…..” Yabu muttered under his breath.
“The murderer surely has a huge grudge. The way the body was bloodied up.” Mirai replied.
“Hideyoshi-san no tte…” Yuki muttered.
“Yuki?” Ryosuke looked at the girl who was holding on to him.
“Hideyoshi-san’s hand…. They had the same scratch marks as the man Takaki-kun scratched.” Yuki suddenly
“How do you remember that? It happened so fast!” Takaki gaped at her.
“Eh? Ahhh…I remember quickly…It’s like a photograph whatever happens….I remember.” Yuki replied.
“Photographic memory?????” Niya, Mirai, Takaki and Yabu were shocked.
“Ma…nande?” Yuki tilted her head.
“What about the hand? Are you sure it’s same as him?” Ryosuke asked.
Yuki nodded.
“So...It’s possible that Hideyoshi has a hand in the murder?” Yabu asked.
“I think Natsuhi-san also has a hand in it.” Yuki said.
“Doushite?” Niya looked at the girl.
“When he entered the room, his hands were intertwined with Natushi’s….Only lovers hold their hands like that!” Yuki reasoned out.
“How do you know about such things?” Mirai asked.
“Teen romance novels.” Yuki replied.
“Ahhhh…..” Mirai looked away.
“But it could be possible that they just happened to end up in that way?” Takaki inquired.
Yuki shook her head.
“But why that way? Its similar to how Yabu-kun and Mirai-Chan hold hands.” Yuki replied.
Yabu and Mirai blushed and looked away.
Ryosuke sighed at the scene.
“Anyways let’s look for more clues.” He replied.
~In Kinzo’s room~
“There is nothing here but a bunch of dusty old files….” Yuki complained.
She looked around again.
“Eh? Nani kore?” Yuki tired to pull out the thing she saw.
The lights went off suddenly. Yuki whimpered, she hated darkness. She felt someone pull her.
“Iii..” Her mouth was covered.
She felt a cloth being stuffed into her mouth. She felt something cold at her neck. Getting scared she quickly swung her arm. The knife cut her neck a bit.
“Itai…” She tried to run, when she felt someone hold her leg.
Suddenly the knife was stabbed into her leg. She dropped on to the floor. She shut her eyes in fear. The lights came on, Yuki looked shocked. Her leg was injured and she was bleeding heavily. Whoever attacked her had escaped.
“Why is it me who always gets in these kind of mess?” Yuki muttered as she looked at her wound.
She tired to get up only to fall back down. She was terribly injured.
“Why are you……?” Ryosuke noticed the girl’s leg and neck.
He took out the first aid kit he had with him. Yuki could not help but be shocked by his kind gesture. Whenever she was in trouble or she was frightened, he would always help her.
“Can you walk?” Ryosuke asked.
Yuki shook her head.
“What were you looking for?” Ryosuke asked.
“There was some file there…..The file! That person must have taken it!” Yuki gasped.
“Is it this one?” Ryosuke picked up a file near the table.
He noticed the blood splattered knife.
“Was the attacker wearing gloves?” Ryosuke looked at Yuki.
Yuki focused on her thoughts. The push, the leg pull…bare hand on knife…BARE HANDS??
“Hands were bare!” Yuki replied.
“Good job on noticing.”
Yuki blushed on hearing that. The next thing she knew, she felt arms under her legs and back and Ryosuke was carrying her.
“You will get your injury worse if you walk.” Ryosuke said kindly as he walked.
~In Yabu and Mirai’s room~
“I cannot believe what I just read about Sayo-san….” Yuki muttered.
“So…We know for sure that Hideyoshi and Natsuhi had roles in the murder.” Yabu replied.
“We found knifes in their room. When we DNA tested them, it had their finger prints. The knife that was used on Sayo matched to this.” Mirai replied.
“What about the one used on Yuki?” Niya asked.
“That too matched with Hideyoshi’s DNA.” Mirai replied.
“How is that possible? He is dead!” Yabu asked.
Mirai shook her head. That was the data she got.
“Guys! Take a look at what I found” Takaki rushed in.
“Yosh, so we can catch the criminal.” Ryosuke smirked.
~Few hours later in the living room~
“We have figured out who the culprit is.” Yuki said as everyone gathered.
The twins, Kuromiya and Miko’s eyes were wide.
“Who is it?” Yumi, the younger twin asked.
“The murderer of Kinzo was Hideyoshi and Natsuhi.” Yabu replied.
“Who killed my husband and Natsuhi?” Miko asked.
“It’s funny you should ask that.” Yuki replied.
“Huh….” Miko looked at her.
“You killed them.”
“Absured! I have an alibi!” Miko replied.
“Do you know…you screamed a bit too soon?” Ryosuke spoke.
Miko’s fists clentched.
“Well, Hideyoshi sure was caring….” Mirai replied.
“WHAT DO YOU KNOW? THAT SLUT NATSUHI AND MY HUSBAND WERE HAVING AN AFFAIR BEHIND MY BACK!!! THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD FORGIVE THEM! ESPECIALLY NOT AFTER THEY MURDERED FATHER! I MURDERED THEM! YES I DID!” Miko screamed out of nowhere.
“Well, we will hear the rest at the station.” Yabu replied as he handcuff the lady.
“Miko-san…Why did you hate Sayo-san?” Yuki asked.
“Eh?” Miko looked at Yuki.
“The reason you attacked was because this file explained about you and Sayo ne?” Yuki pursed her lips.
“There was no way I was going to let her become an heiress just because she was father’s illegimate daughter.” Miko replied.
Yabu and the others took Miko away.
~In a hospital~
“Arigatou Yuki-chan.” Sayo smiled at Yuki.
“It must have been shocking to know that Kinzo wanted you to inherit his wealth.” Yuki smiled.
“I don’t want any of it. I am going back now. I am free from that family.” Sayo replied.
“Sayo-chan….Good luck and take care.” Yuki smiled and got up.
“Mata Arigatou.” Sayo replied smiling.
Yuki walked away from the hospital. It was getting dark and she wanted to get away from the darkness. She was walking across the shrine when Yu suddenly showed up in front of her.
“You remember me?” Yu smiled.
“Omai….No! Stay away from me!” Yuki yelled.
“I am in no mood to hurt you today. I will hurt you eventually. But not today, not when you are still my brother’s precious little thing. He disobeyed me to save you that time.” Yu smiled.
“You killed him didn’t you!” Yuki gasped.
“I did not…in fact he is very close to you.” Yu smiled evilly.
“What do you mean?” Yuki looked at irritated.
“Do you know that Yamada Ryosuke is actually Yokoyama Ryosuke?” Yu’s evil grin grew bigger.
“eh?” Yuki could not believe her ears.
