I need to get a new computer, mine is a little out-dated. That's bye-bye to about $3000.
Not necessarilly. Building your own can cut costs a lot (especially if you recycle things like monitors, keyboards, mice, cd drives, etc) and it's not as hard as it seems. Also, Macs are getting a little cheaper gradually and they're supposedly really good for graphics and animation although I can't back this up personally as I've never used one for more than half an hour. Just a suggestion.
Those Wacom tablets look cool. For right now, it will have to stay on my list of expensive toys to buy when I become rich. :P
My dad will have nothing to do with any computers that aren't Dells. He wont want me to get anything else. Plus, it's my decsion to get a brand new one anyway.
::nod:: I agree, that sometimes it's just better to go with a brand you're comfortable with and know works. Not to mention, then you get the benefit of a warranty.
