House Hunters

Hey guys. I'm thinking about buying a house! Its getting to the point where I could be spending the same amount of money buying a place as I would renting a place. With the rates as low as they are, this may be the only time I could actually afford a place. What do you think? Do you think its smarter to own or rent in LA ( Read more... )

Thanks Ed. We are going in aggressively on this one. The couple that own it are desprite to sell. They're moving to Denver. So we will see if they bite. The house meets about 85% of our wish list. We've looked at a lot if places and no one house has been perfect. So there is some compromise but not horribly so. It's very cute inside.

You know you'll have to come down and bless it if we get it.

By all means you should be owning a house...as we have talked about it before. And one that is larger than the one you are in now, too!

You deserve the tax breaks, too. Is the back yard large enough for the kids?

The back yard is small. About 25x25. Grass. Fruit trees. I wanted something larger but the house has a large patio in the back that helps make up for it. The pups will have space but it's not like a dog park for them. Lol. Good news is the lot next to us is completely empty. Could always let them run around in there if we want.
