her mother wants for her to marry a rich diplomat or politican. In Korea having a title in your name is seen to be prestigous. She wants for her to be a quiet housewife for some wrinkled old man who will treat her like shit, so that the family name can be tied with something reputable. And theres the fact that I am half japanese... and that hundreds of years ago Japan invaded Korea...

A child is like a small bird. Dont keep them in a cage, where you can keep an eye on them until the day it dies. Let it free, to see the world, if you truly love them. And be ready to hold your hands out to catch them, should they fall....
A parent should never make their childs life a misery. Where is the love in that?
