Current count: 5113/50000. To be "caught up" for today, I need to reach at least 8,335 words before I call it quits for today. I think I can do it, but I keep on going back, re-reading, correcting, and all sorts of nonsense that is keeping me from writing more. On the good side, I still have a LOT of story left to tell. hmmmmmm........... you know, it seems to update a lot faster earlier in the day. It wasn't being anywhere near this slow about early afternoon....

I like your start! it's an interesting twist on the whole gender clash.

um, if you don't want nitpicks, ignore the next part - i caught a few spelling mistakes. (at least i didn't go on grammar and punctuation - my rules of grammar aren't all that strong, and punctuation is kind of moot with NaNo's excerpts anyways. Although I remember last year, either I reuploaded the except or something cause the apostrophes and commas came back later. ::shrugs::

anyway, nitpicks:

"Jyrell new him as one of Meris's grandsons" - knew

"(which if she used to often would arouse criticism of government secrecy)" - too

"too polite to inform her that in was none of fher gods-damned business" - it

that's it, then. are you going to post any of this on your lj?

I was actually aware of all those typos, being the grammar Nazi that I am. In a somewhat uncharacteristic move I decided to just leave them for now because otherwise I'd waste all my writing time re-writing stuff I'd already done.

Speaking off... I need to write about 7,000 words tonight to catch up to where I should be. Meh.

lol, ignore me, then, i was just checking. ^_^ i still like the start, though... i think week 2 is gettin to me a little...i keep forcing myself to choose between NaNo and FFXII - NaNo's been winning, but it's a battle, I tell ya...

also, if you hadn't noticed, i can't type for crap on a laptop (or on a regular keyboard sometimes), so I really have no room to complain. ^_^
