How many figures have I got?
People are counting their collections here. Some numbers are astonishing, for instance the 5500 items in Arrakai's collection (although, including noname Chinese stuff).
I'm not chasing quantities but am meticulous with quality. And the way the figures are displayed plays a crucial role for me.

I finally found another Russian-speaking collector!!! And his collection is really impressive
I've been hoping to find another serious collector from the former-USSR countries for years. And it finally happened!!!
I found Sergey at vkontakte.ru - popular Russian-speaking social network. He's been collecting animal figurines since 1990s, and, what is more important to me, - he makes zoogeographical displays, just like I do! :D :D

My guesswork on Schleich’s production plans
I’ve got a hypothesis about Schleich production plans that doesn’t come out of my mind. Of course, I may be totally wrong, but I’d like to share guesswork here. There’s pretty much of text, but the topic is very interesting. :)

We are not so far from knowing which Schleich figures will be discontinued in 2011 - a vital info for us, the collectors. Last year this info was available in November, and in 2008 we had the list in October.

I'm very glad that this year we found out about the new Safari Ltd. line-up extremely early - in the beginning of September!

Today I saw the first news about the upcoming 2011 line-up by Safari Ltd. from one of the company's US dealers. No names or species were named, though, but it was said that:

My African shelf display refurbished
I've refurbished my African shelf display since I arranged it in December.
New animals and plants were added, and some figures are gone due to space constrictions.
