Hmm, I'm interested in this theme too. I vote Balinese. It is an Oriental cat that gets along well with children and other pets, so it is ideal for families.

I think Balinese is the best balance of the traits and tendencies you list: the right body type, affectionate and good with families and other pets, but intelligent and perhaps tending toward a rascally eccentricity and uniqueness. I can see a little Birman and American Longhair as well.
