That part about your patient is the best thing ever. Don't be embarassed for friending him on Facebook! It's not wrong.
As for the whole Adam bag of crap, any chance you could focus on developing some of your other friendships outside of him? He'll get over the self-involved bullshit eventually, and you'll end up with more friends.
And yeah, it's only hard because so many of my friends are also adam's friends...people we both knew separately before we knew eachother.
i don't know how people meet new people. i mean, i know there are tons of ways, but they all seem so extreme when you're in a funk like i am. :( but i'm going to work myself out of it.
first by dropping my patient a quick message wishing him a good weekend, and reminding him i'll see him monday morning. then, i am going to take a shower, because it's been a while. hahaha and then? i'm going out. one way or another. somewhere.
Is there anyone in your life that you aren't really close friends with, but generally like? For example, someone at work, someone in your neighborhood, an old classmate, etc.? That's always a good starting point.
