If you're hurt and want to fix it quickly, you can kill yourself to make it better.

[The cheapening of life was never more amusing.]

I'm afraid death is an unacceptable solution to healing wounds. It may work in a pinch, but the drawbacks far outweigh the benefits.

Why's that?

There's always a penalty for character death. Loss of experience, loss of levels, loss of money... death and resurrection never come cheaply. It's something to be avoided at all costs. Just think of how the world would be if you could simply die and come back with no consequences whatsoever!

It would be just like this one.

So there are no drawbacks whatsoever to dying in this place?

Well, still, my problem seems to have fixed itself without having to resort to such methods this time. Perhaps I'm simply luckier than most.

So far, the theory has been holding up quite well.

I went to the Post Office to regain the use of my magic. Instead of taking away parts of my body that would be required to make use of said magic, I was temporarily left with one arm and one kidney. Inconvenient, but hardly disabling as far as spellcasting is concerned. Less than a week later, I received a package in the mail that caused my missing body parts to spontaneously reappear without even having to complete a quest first. If that isn't luck, I don't know what is.

Lost things can get returned without using the post office.

At the town's discretion. I chose not to wait.
