Current Movie: Black Orpheus Directed by Marcel Camus

I finally found a copy of that one recently but I haven't has a chance to see it yet. Did you like it?

Yes, very much. The plot is quite simple since it is constructed just like the Greek myth. But the actors carry the story by giving motivations to their characters through expression and body language. And all the praise for the use of lush color and splendor at Carnaval is deserved. Antonio Carlos Jobim's songs are old favorites for me, but should be moving for anyone. The real surprise was the dancing: if there were no story at all, the movie would be notable just for the amazing dances that run through the whole film.
