Dead People (aka Messiah of Evil) - Another one you have not seen.

I have! It's a great movie.

I may have to go away and do a top ten zombie movie list as well now, although I have to be honest and say that zombie movies aren't my favourite horror sub-genre.

There is something amazing about those low-budget '70s movies. Since they don't feel like a formulaic Hollywood movie, they are somehow much more real and thus more scary. No matter how much better the effects and makeup are in a more expensive film, you always feel like you are experiencing a MOVIE. With the gritty girndhouse films, it doesn't feel like a movie; it's more like a rollercoaster screaming into your eyes - no control at all.

BTW, I love your icon. I am a big fan of Ingrid Pitt and The Vampire Lovers.

I like lots of these, but my three favorites that you listed are Hide and Creep, Night of the Living Dorks and City of the Living Dead. Ridiculous? Or is it so diculous that it blows your mind???
