If SVU is the best thing NBC has to offer and Zebras was its finale for this season, well NBC is in as much trouble as GM.
First it was obvious as the nose on your face what was going to happen after the court room scene. Second, the Gwen Munch thing was a horrible affront to any HLOTS fan who remembers the episode that Carol Kane did as Gwen Munch about 10 years ago. That Gwen Munch was sweet, funny and a little bit on the eccentric side, but no way was she an EDP (emotional disturbed person).
Why is it all of a sudden everyone in SVU has to have someone in their family who is mentally ill? Did it start with Casey Novak's finacé and then there was Stabler's Mom and Daughter. And didn't John have enough with a father who committed suicide and an uncle in a mental hospital due to his bipolar disorder, did they have to add his ex-wife to the list as well. That aside I thought Carol Kane, did a wonderful acting job as did Richard Belzer, but what did Gwen being mentally ill really add to the story? She could have given him information on the guy in some other way without there needing to be the destruction of the character of Gwen Munch, unless this is meant to build on in some way for Munch I just don't get it and see it as gratuitous.
By the way NCIS should sue L & O for ripping off their ideas, a while back their Crime tech had an assistant who was a pain in the butt and he went round the bend. Yes, it was a little different their tech tried to frame one of their detectives rather than trying to frame the bad guy and then freaking out and killing so many people but still same basic idea.
And I don't know about you but I could have done without the whole Olivia seduces Bing Bang Boom boy and bitch slaps Elliot, I was way into ewe territory there.
