I don't know what possed me but I started goggling my mentor's name and seeing some old papers written by people in my research group and then I saw one we'd done together and then I saw a paper must have been done by a post doc as a follow up to my work and so I goggled my maiden name to see my grad school papers and Damn my best paper didn't come ( Read more... )

Give it time; it'll likely be there eventually. I recently found a psychology paper that my mom had co-authored (back in the late forties-early fifies) on google.

wow! that's kind of amazing, then again was it seminal work? that can make a major difference on how far back references go.

I suppose it depends on who's doing the archiving somebody may have decided 20 years was enough on certain journals but that seems kind of strange given that the Journal of Inorganic Chemistry is a biggie in the field
