Cancer stalking friends and associates

My assistant's boyfriend may have bladder cancer and a friend from our VW club just got news she has breast cancer (thanks to Kaiser Permanente it was in a very cold impersonal phone call - I hate Kaiser, I had a friend who nearly was crippled by their incompetent care of a simple Plantar's wart)
