Most of the labs on campus are open 24 hours a day but only staffed 10 or 12. So I'm watching the Cardinals game over MLB.TV (mostly on account of nothing better to do) and they showed a commercial for a beer distributor out of St. Louis. Their slogan actually was "The more she drinks, the better you look."

That made me chuckle.

Something occurred to me a few minutes ago.

My landlady-to-be is currently 8 months pregnant. I'll be moving in one month, almost to the day. This means that, given my luck, the day I go to move in, she's going to have her baby.

It's official. I have an apartment. Go me.

Figures that the day after I put my deposit down RIT would start asking me questions that seem to indicate they're not leaning towards readmitting me... oh freaking well. If they don't, that just means I work more. Nevertheless, my return is now imminent.

Frustrated by the apartment search, I decided to look into foreclosed properties. It took me about 10 minutes to realize I was WAY out of my league. The very thought that I would even consider such an option suddenly makes my head hurt ( Read more... )

I HATE APARTMENT SEARCHES!

Every place I look at is either out of my price range, has at least a one year waiting list, or wants FOUR MONTHS rent in advance (the LAST four months rent...) grrrrr...

I hope this is a good sign...

RIT sent me a course catalog in the mail today. They have yet to tell me if I've been readmitted, or if I'll have to switch programs, or anything like that, but they haven't sent me a course catalog since I first started there, so I'm hoping that it's good news.

It's at least not bad news.

So I've now officially sold my first computer program. YAY! Go me!
