【 About Yourself... 】
Please describe your personality:
I took some tests and got…
Quiet Loner Soul,
Lawful Neutral and
ISTP. If I had to sort myself into a stereotype, I would pick
Dandere although -to be more accurate- with “shy” being replaced by reserved, and “cute and sweet” by cheerful.
For the most part, I have a quite passive and quiet personality; I usually don’t take the initiative unless I’m pressured by myself or have one of my impulsive moments. I’m not a doormat, though, and very well able to say no; if I don’t want to do something, I can be very persistent. Often, many things go through my head but I end up saying and doing nothing because I’m not really great at talking and translating thoughts into words or I mumble them over too long and miss the chance. Although I don’t wear my heart on my sleeve, I don’t think I am hard to read. If you look closely. It’s just that sometimes my expression doesn’t match what I’m actually thinking/feeling at the moment - when I’m enthusiastic, for example, I possibly still wear my default expression which, according to some people, resembles a sad/serious one and because of that I’m sometimes mistaken as bored and totally uninterested. Talk about giving off wrong impressions. |D
In public settings and around mere acquaintances, I tend to be soft-spoken, private, reserved and curt. I usually don’t go out actively seeking conversation but I try to be nice whenever someone talks to me. Among people I have known for years and around friends I’m playful, silly, louder, more animated in general but also a little bossy and less cautious with my words/actions (= I tend to be more blunt and harsher around them). Still, I keep many things to myself and don’t always disclose my true opinion on matters if I think it could offend someone/doesn’t concern you at all…but in contrast, I’m very honest about other matters. I bottle things up, shrugh stupid remarks off or ignore them while in reality I’m offended or angry, but in more private settings it’s likelier that I snap and become extremely emotional/temperamental. And I can be very unforgiving but it’s not like I’ll let you know “Hey, every time we meet I’ll think of that stupid remark you made about me and I’ll never ever forget about it.”
Hm, what else? I rarely break rules. I’m a follow-the-book person…yeah.
Positive traits: I have a sense of humour. I can be somewhat cheerful and teasing when I’m among certain people. I’m conscientious and responsible when I’m interested in something. I can be very persistent despite my usual passive attitude and I can resist peer pressure. Does that count? |D I have a sense of justice and I try to treat everyone fairly. I’m more empathetic than I would like to think but- I rarely show it.
Negative traits: I’m overly untalkative and a bit socially awkward, thus coming across as either shy or unfriendly. I don’t smile if I don’t feel like it, I get nervous during public speaking, most of the time I have no idea what to talk about with strangers etc. Things like that. But I’m trying to improve. I’m insecure and self-conscious in many situations and I’m easily discouraged by failure. I take almost every glare and off-hand joke personally + hold grudges for a long time which is a great combination. I’m irritable and have quite a temper that sometimes shows. Other negative traits are: being partly avoidant, hesitant, indecisive, paranoid, and worrying a lot about worst-case scenarios.
Please list some of your dislikes: And what about my likes? Gender roles, stereotypes, discos, failure, sappy quotes and conversations, being ignorant, being pressured into doing something, being contradicted, being yelled at because it either makes me want to bawl or to punch them, when people talk about me, when people tell me to calm down aksjhjkd;…
What is the first impression that you give others?: Probably that I’m serious and grumpy as complete strangers have told me before to “smile”. :))) /rage I’m pretty sure I come off as unfriendly, not sociable, shy and boring, too, on a first impression basis.
How are you described by those who know you?: I asked some people before and they described me as…quiet, calm, shy, honest (“You aren’t sly and sneaky like other people.”), distrustful, easily offended and having a temper.
【 Are you more... 】
A realist, an idealist, an optimist or a pessimist: A mix? I honestly don’t know anymore. Generally, I try to view things realistically but depending my mood I can lean towards optimistic or pessimistic. I also possess some idealistic views but I don’t exactly do anything about them.
Cautious or Impulsive: Cautious. I usually don’t jump into things head first unless I’m overwhelmed and can’t think straight. And even if I think before acting, the result is not always well thought-out.
Calm or Hyper: Calm. I can be somewhat hyper when I’m acting silly but not overly so.
Trusting or Cynical: In-between? I’m not so much “cynical” as “mistrustful and paranoid”.
Leader or Follower: Follower. I normally end up as one if I’m thrown into a group and I can’t see myself in a leader position. I prefer to work alone, though, because- less responsibility and stress.
Introverted or Extroverted: Introverted.
Independent or Dependent: A mix. I’m both in different areas but I really dislike it when I ask for help and depend on somebody.
Persistent or Laid-Back: Neither. I’m only persistent if I strongly object and I worry too much to be called laid-back. That being said, I don’t consider these to be opposites?
Confident or Modest: Neither. I am too insecure to be called confident but I’m not modest as I have caught myself feeling secretly superior before.
【 General Questions... 】
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Well, there is more than one thing that I want to change |D…above all, I want to be more eloquent/better at expressing myself verbally + more confident overall. Also, the fact that I’m sometimes easily irritated because it makes me susceptible to being…belittled by others in a “Wow, now you are angry, I’m so scared~” kind of way.
Do you enjoy conflict or do you seek to end it as soon as you can?
Who enjoys conflict?! I certainly don’t and seek to end it as soon as I can but, depending on whom I have a conflict with, I would not be very nice or apologetic about ending it.
Someone just cut in front of you in the store, when you've already been waiting for quite some time. How do you react?
Hm, I always make sure that this doesn’t happen |D but if it did, I would probably not react at all. Maybe give them a glare while I’m being angry inside but that’s about it. Unless I’m having an impulsive moment…then I would address them without thinking about it.
Imagine yourself fighting in order to save the world, or to put an end to it depending on your ideals. What motivates you to fight? Would it be for the sake of the world, just because you felt like helping out, for a specific desire, for yourself?
I know it says “imagine” but I really can’t imagine having a motivation/goal big enough that would either lead me to fight for the sake of the world or to put an end to it. I would probably felt like helping out if I had nothing better to do or if I was bored with my daily life and have some fun before the world (supposedly) ends!
Speaking of fighting, would you play the offensive, defensive or supportive role?
Defensive/supportive because I’m a coward and mostly remain in the background…but I don’t like being completely helpless so having some sort of attacks would be nice.
You've come across a powerful enemy, but are already aware you won't acquire anything tangible by beating it. Do you fight it anyway?
For that single reason, no. Why waste my strength fighting if the most I got out of it would only be recognition from other people.
【 Optional 】
Are there any characters you would prefer not to be voted as? Amaimon because all I saw in the manga is a violent child who just wants to fight? Which is apparently not the impression most people got…but if you really see him, you can vote for him. |D
