Movies - for free!

We've started getting in on seeing free pre-screenings of upcoming movies. This is precisely the opposite of what we normally do with seeing movies 3-6 months late at the Dollar Theater, but it's been a lot of fun. It's like being in a secret club, the test case for all these things. It's like someone cares about my opinion

So do you need to know Pride and Prejudice to enjoy the movie?

I don't think so, because it is Pride and Prejudice, if that makes sense. That plotline is front and center, just altered somewhat to acommodate the undead. I am not super familiar with Austen, and I loved it. It's telling a complete story, not just making continuity gags. The main result is that it ends up with stronger, more varied, and more numerous female leads than you typically see in an action movie, or even a rom zom com.
