I agree! I saw a lot of Zutarians calling Korra/Mako the new Zutara and I don't see it. Not that I dislike it, but it isn't the same. I think Korra is a lot more like Toph than Katara, if we're trying to make comparisons.
I think that's the reason I could canon!ship Korra/Mako but not Zutara? Like, Katara and Zuko don't work for me in canon, because their personalities are just not compatible, but though Zuko and Mako are somewhat similar, Korra isn't Katara, so for now, I could see it.
But mostly I'm just in love with Korra at the moment. I had my doubts about the sequel, because I was so afraid it wouldn't work as well, but the new updated world is so amazing.
Also Nick? Would you please release 1) A Soundtrack? and 2) A female action figure of Korra? I'm still pissed I do not own a Toph action figure.
