Maes isn't an alchemist. He can use knives but nowhere in the series does he ever use alchemy and he can't bring in anyone who can.

Nope. They make a point in the series in saying that he isn't actually. I think it's in the flashback episodes with Roy an Maes. Basically Maes says he'll be there to support him and boost him to the top anyway he can, even if he doesn't have the talent of alchemy. It's really touching, one reason why I like their dynamic.

This week:

Hah! I say Maes Hughes wins!!
How...?
Well, he just whips out his (large! LARGE!) stash of "Super Cute Pictures of Elicia-chan". We all know that Hunny can't resist cute things. Not really.
In fact, I guess those two would be so into chatting about various cute things, comparing experiences, etc. - they'd forget to fight. Probably. Then Hunny falls asleep... (asleep = down = loss!)

Last week:
Mugen........died. I'm feeling a little vindictive right now. *g* Besides, I don't really like Mugen all that much. >__< Whereas for Jin... ~^__^~

Well, as for living and dying, Kenshin doesn't kill anyone, so he obviously lived.

And Maes has body, muscle, and experience over 'Honey'. Clear winner.

The question is what state-of-mind would Kenshin be in? Mugen would be a tough opponent, especially considering his non-traditional fighting style. It's quite possible that Kenshin may have to rely on Battosai, and if that was the case, then Mugen probably wouldn't live.

I'm not convinced that Maes could attack Honey when he looks like a small child--almost the age of his daughter, one could argue. Plus Honey was able to take on a win over masses of secret police at one time. If nothing else, he would give Maes a good run for his money.

Samurai Champloo. You can look back a little to see a link to his wiki profile. He's an unconventional samurai and fights in what can be best described as break dance fighting (even having metal bits on the bottom of his geta.
