One thing that I forgot to mention about him (and it's actually... really strange that I neglected this XD) is that he has visions of the future every moment of every day... they just go through the back of his head all the time, no matter what he's doing. They're just brief snippets of events, sometimes significant but usually fairly mundane, from all over the world; generally not the too-distant future... wisin the next couple of years, so the time setting would still be a medieval/Renaissance blend ( ... )

Oronda's magic centers around using illusions and such, so he snuck into the best magic school in the country by using illusions to disguise himself as a human (because of the way magic works in that world, humans are the only ones who are accepted in the school). Haley, as a bored young-non-inheriting-the-throne prince, occasionally wanders down to watch the magic classes since he can't do much magic himself. He does have the rare gift of being able to see magic, which enables him to see through Oronda's illusions, though. :3 Seeing a kittyboy in a class that should have been only humans made him curious, so he approached him, and from there their friendship grew ( ... )
