Why the heck does the internet hate my resolution size? I must have the rarest resolution to find decent wallpapers for! And when I do.. they look like wallpapers from the late 90's! I used to use Smashing Magazine, because they release new themed wallpapers every month in his-res sizes. Downside: they all have calendars so using ones from different months might be weird.

When I got my macbook, I started collecting the pretty pictures posted at APOD, like this and having my background change every minute so they all rotate. ♥

You can also sometimes search DevArt, too...although that's a little harder, admittedly. *g*

I really liked the ones on the first link and some you can get without the calender!

I looked through DevArt and found a couple.. but it was pretty limited as you pointed out as well.

What sort of imagery are you wanting a wallpaper of, exactly? I could just make you one if you have something particular in mind.

Honestly I was trying to look for a nice one of Seymour (though that is pretty hard even with a common resolution) or Lelouch that wasn't covered in 50 different textures and gradients! Random stuff would work as well, just looking for some fun/colorful walls in general kinda like this one:

I love how the blacks look in that picture, it is nice and sharp. Yeah I'm weird.. I blame it on being around you graphic designer types!

Odd, my resolution is 1680X1050 and I find plenty and even if I do not. The 'streach' feature from windows usually works wonders.
