Junhyung wakes up to find the other side of his bed empty. He got up, turned off his annoying alarm clock and opened his blinds to let the sunlight flood into the room. Nothing out of the ordinary. Hyunseung was always gone in the morning. He grabbed his boxers from the floor and headed to the kitchen to get some breakfast. Seeing a plate, coffee mug, and silverware on the drying rack wasn't out of the ordinary either. He groggily rubbed his eyes and reached for the refrigerator handle when a neon green post it note caught his eye. In his sleepy state, he slurred the words as he read them out loud.

I'm sorry Jun. I can't do this anymore. I'm leaving on the 8 o'clock train to the airport. You can try to stop me if you want. But once I'm on that plane I'm never coming back.

-Hyunseung

He brushed it off. He opened the fridge and looked at the contents, then it hit him. 8 o'clock. Train. Airport. Never coming back. He slammed the door. He must have shattered some of the glass bottles in there because of the cracking sounds. He didn't care, not when that note was in front of him. He stared at it in horror. It was way too early in the morning for something like this to register in his mind.

Junhyung glanced at the time on the microwave. 7:43AM. The train station was about a fifteen minute walk from his apartment. He ran back to his room and picked up what ever article of clothing that needed. He put them on in a hurry, not caring that he looked like he just got up from bed. Well he did just wake up so it didn't matter to him. He grabbed his keys and rushed out the door.

He stood on the platform with his head down and his chest heaving. The train wooshed by sending random scraps of the newspaper and ads flying across the station. He probably, no he did look like a moron just standing there. All he was wearing was a maroon fleece jacket, plaid pajama pants, and his house slippers. He fought the tears back the tears that were threatening to fall. So he really was gone forever.

Junhyung spent the entire walk home in silence. To be honest, he was more shocked than depressed. Everything was just so sudden. He wanted to cry. He wanted to be mad at Hyunseung for just deserting him like that. He wanted to feel confused, abandoned, used, and a whole mixture of emotions. But he was just blank. He wasn't quite sure what to think or do, so he didn't.

He felt like an empty shell. He was just so surprised at the realization that he failed to notice all the odd looks he was getting. He rounded the corner and another surprise greeted him. Because right there in front of him was Hyunseung. Sitting on the front steps of the apartment building. Suitcases and all. The older raised his head from between his knees.

"Junhyung."

"Why-"

"I wanted to leave. But I couldn't. Not without you."
