Chapter 5
-3 days later-
“Ryo? Are you alright?” Jin and Koki got worried. Ryo has been throwing up for the past 3 days and lost his appetite.
Koki gave Ryo a cup of warm water. “Yeah, I'm fine. Don’t worry” Ryo smiled, but that didn’t convince them.
“Ryo, you have been throwing up for the past 3 days. You haven’t been at work for 3 days too. Just go to the hospital for a checkup to see if anythings wrong.” Koki tried to convince Ryo.
“No! I'm fine. There’s nothing wrong with me.” The 3 of them had this argument for the past 2 days already.
“Ryo! If you don’t go for a check-up I will tell Yamapi what is wrong with you.” Jin finally snapped. He was really worried about his friend.
“You cant tell him. I don’t want him to know anything.” Ryo didn’t want to bother Yamapi. He was the one that wanted Yamapi to leave him alone.
“If you don’t want me to say anything to him then go to the hospital today.” Jin knew he finally won the argument.
“Fine..ill go after lunch.” Koki and Jin smiled at him. Jin caressed his hair.
“Good. We have to go to work now. We’ll call you later okay?” Ryo nodded and said bye to them.
Ryo himself was worried too. He didn’t know why he was throwing up and feeling tired all the time. “Maybe going early would be better…”
After 5 minutes, he got dressed and went out the door.
-NEWS dressing room-
Everyone was in there except for Ryo. “Yamapi, are you okay?” Everyone was worried about Yamapi since he hasn’t been himself for the past 3 days.
“Yeah. I'm fine. Don’t worry about me.” Yamapi has been saying this for the past 3 days. He didn’t want anyone to bother him. He was already troubled with the fact that Ryo didn’t want to see him.
“Let’s go to practice. Its time.” Yamapi hasn’t smiled since Ryo left. He always had an expressionless face. No one knew what he was thinking.
Ryo, I wonder how you’re doing. Please forgive me. You know that I can’t live without you right?
Yamapi had said this to himself over and over again, hoping that Ryo would be able to forgive him.
-at the hospital-
Ryo had just finished his check-up and they had asked him to wait 5 minutes.
*ring**ring* His phone rang. “Hello?”
“Ryo, its Jin. Where are you? I called the house but no one picked up.”
“Jin. I'm at the hospital. I decided to go earlier.” Ryo sat down on a chair.
“You are? How is everything?”
“Yeah, they told me to wait for a few minutes. I just finished my check-up”
“Oh, alright. I have to go back to practice now. We’ll talk more later when i get back home. Bye Ryo.” Ryo said bye and hung up. Right when he hung up, the doctor called his name.
Ryo went into the doctor’s office and waited for his results. “So, Nishikido-san, everything in your body is fine. Nothing is wrong with you.”
The Yushima-sensei smiled at him. “Really? Then why was I throwing up for the past couple of days? I don’t have that much of an appetite either.”
Ryo rubbed his stomach. “Well, Nishikido-san the reason for that is because….your pregnant!” Yushima-sensei congratulated him and smiled.
“I'm WHAT?! How is that possible?” Ryo’s eyes bugged out. He couldn’t believe it.
“Well. I'm quite surprised too, but from the test result it proves that you are pregnant. Now shouldn’t you tell the father?” she winked at him.
“Tell…the father?” Ryo thought about Yamapi. He couldn’t tell him. He knew that Yamapi was at the peak of his career. He wouldn’t want a child. It would be too bothersome. Ryo rubbed his stomach and took a deep breath.
“Thank you sensei…for the news.” Ryo gently smiled at the doctor and left.
On the way home, Ryo kept thinking about the baby. He didn’t know what to do.
Should I tell him? I already told him to leave me alone.
A child now will make everything more complicated. Ryo knew Yamapi didn’t want a child, but Ryo wanted it. It was their child. Something that they both created. He couldn’t just abandon it. Ryo took a deep breath and went into his room. He started to pack everything. When he was done, he wrote a note to Jin and Koki telling them thank you for everything they have done for him, but he would be leaving for awhile and not to look for him.
Before calling his parents, he went into the Jimusho and went up to Johnnys office. “Johnny-san, I need to talk to you.” Ryo looked at him right in the eye.
Johnnys knew that it was important. “Yes? What is it Nishikido?” Johnnys folded his arms on top of his desk.
Ryo pulled out the resignation letter and the check-up results. “I need to quit.” Johnnys looked at the results and his eyes widened.
“Pre…Pregnant?! How?” Johnnys was shocked.
“I don’t know, but I want to keep it. I cant just destroy it.” Ryo caressed his stomach and took a deep breath.
Johnnys looked straight at him. “Who’s is it? Yamashita’s?”
Ryo was shocked. He didn’t know that Johnnys knew. “How..How do you know?”
“So it is…” Johnnys leaned back into his chair. He pressed the button on the intercom. “Yoko-san, please tell Yama…” Ryo interrupted him.
“NO! he doesn’t know. He can’t know.” Ryo shook his head. He decided that he would raise the child without Yamapi. He knew that Yamapi wouldn’t want the child.
“Why not?” Johnnys looked at him strangely.
“Yamapi doesn’t want a child. He doesn’t have time for one. I know that he wouldn’t want it. It’s too much for him. I decided that I would raise it by myself.” Ryo told him the truth.
Johnnys sighed and looked at how determined Ryo was. “Alright, ill accept that. Ill tell NEWS and KANJANI8 too. Don’t worry about anything; just call me when u get somewhere safe. You’re like a son to me. I’ve seen you grow up.” Johnnys smiled at him. Ryo smiled back and bowed.
“Thank you so much for everything you have done for me.” With that Ryo left Johnnys Entertainment.
