That line was just ah-mazing, and poor Kon! Bats, and especially Tim, are conditioned to handle the darkness that is constantly trying to taint Gotham's soul, but Supers aren't meant to know such darkness. Tim really was trying to protect him. Tim has been born and bred in Gotham, he knows the city like few other's could, and it has to kill him to have seen her so violated in a way that only something AC could violate Gotham. Add to that the unending string of insults, (Bruce really must've liked the "Your Mother won't recognize you when we're through") stark brutality, and blantant displays of the worst traits of the worst members of humanity- it's enough to make any Robin sick.

I agree - though I definitely had to think hard and stretch a bit what was done in AC (I'm sure you recognized that some of those lines weren't actually in AC) because, as you said, Tim was born and bred in Gotham and the Bats understand the kind of darkness that was Arkham City. So I have to justify why Tim, who has surely heard this kind of threat before, is so bothered and upset this time. Kon, on the other hand, is probably actually fairly naive about the creeps in Gotham. I doubt Tim really talks all that much about it.

Wow, you really grasped the horror of Arkham and how it affected our Timmy. Love the way you progress the BatFam without loosing their sense of Batness. Having Dick and Damien accept Kon as a part of Tim's life was great. Especially with Dick showing Kon one of the Bat Secrets, allowing him to see what Tim experienced. Now I can't wait to see what you have Kon do with this knowledge.
