The con was good wholesome fun. I knew a lot of people who went, and did a lot of work for the con for karaoke, Otaku Idol and general stuff. The L'Arc~en~Ciel and the angela concerts were awesome.
On Friday I sang:
-D.N.Angel - Byakuya ~true light~ OP
-L'Arc~en~Ciel - Hitomi no juunin
-Nana Katase - Tango Noir (vocal version using lyric sheet)
-Inu Yasha - Change the World OP (V6) (using lyric sheet)
On Saturday I sang:
-Full Metal Alchemist - Ready Steady Go OP2 (L'Arc~en~Ciel)
-Luna Sea - Storm (vocal version with goki on guitar!)
-FLCL - Hybrid Rainbow (vocal version with everyone else who could sing it!! - THE way to end a karaoke event!)
Let's see how many people I can name who went that I know... underwatercolor, chibiragdoll, seraphimwar, shinobihime, thefreefall, kyo_no_bion, playingmyrole, dr_ishmael, Tien & his cousin, resuka, potassiumman, lmekko, Desmond, Kato, Scott, Casey, Andrew, Lawrence & Carol, priestessmars, Sparkle, Rob, Jeff, Goki & Jessie, Ghost, Nikki, Randall, Jamie, deaddude, seig_hart, ryodark and probably more people that I'm forgetting about or that I forget what their lj name is *cackles* (that's 33 people)
Angela and L'Arc~en~Ciel were totally awesome.
People have talked about L'Arc to exhaustion, so I won't bother quoting anything they said, but I'm happy they played many songs I like including my favorite by them, Kasou. Angela was fun to watch with their cool clothes that they have on in the booklet of their first album, sora no koe. The guitarist, katsu, was really cool when he would spin his guitar around and hold it up high in one hand and just let the vibes come out *cackles* L'Arc wasn't signing, but I got an awesome signature from angela on my newly bought sora no koe album ^_^
Otaku Idol was neat. I ended up djing the whole thing, so I needed to queue all the songs, start them when necessary, and fade them out at the right time. I also had to control the volumes of the mics for the people on the panel. chibiragdoll, kyo_no_bion and 8 others competed Friday night. In the end, Diana, someone I helped recruit last minute, won in a face-off against Amanda. I was a little disappointed that in the final round they didn't have their lyrics down a little more, but it was still an amazing show.
