Wow...been a long time since i updated..dont know if anyone will even see this. Ive been so busy with school,and moving and other things that livejournal has never really been anywhere near the top of my list..as of late i havent been feeling exctly the best..kinda a culmination of various things,but its hard to concentrate,i just cant seem to feel

Hey whats up? Sorry i still havent drawn for you yet,ive been going to school for nursing,but i always find myself doodling in my notebooks when im there XD lol you live on your own too? I love it so far. :)
Hey,i know you sell your art and stickers,you ever tried selling stuff at conventions? I was thinking of getting a booth at comiccon next year if i can draw up some stuff decent enough to make prints of :).

Hello tharrr <3 ♥ I'm so busy at school too, I haven't had much time to do anything except commission work!

I did my first convention this year, actually! :D It was a fairly small local anime con, but I still pulled in about $100. Which wasn't too bad because

a) Small con, like I said. Half the people that wandered into artist alley didn't know it was there because it was so poorly publicized and there were no signs saying it was there or anything
b) I was really really unprepared.

Stickers were my best seller. I made a lot from on the spot commissions as well. Sold a few original pieces too. I only brought along 2 prints, and neither of them sold XD People were more interested in original artwork. However, a lot of people will charge extraordinairy amounts for the original work, and in that case, people are more likely to buy a print. Or if you only bring prints.

Should note that I was charging the same amount for a high-quality full colour print as I was for very small chibis that were the original pieces... Probably not the best idea. I should have sold them for a lot more, but I know that if I had raised the prices on the original work, nobody would buy it. Prints are the best way to go if you don't want to part with your originals for so little.
