How did you like the movie?! It's one of my faves, so I was super excited when I saw a prompt based off of it and I just had to do it.

Both pairings are so great, and ever since episode 2 of Showtime and their little double date I've just loved the thought of the four of them. Also there is never enough xingdae! lol

((i honestly dont understand why i keep NOT writing xingdae when i ship them so hard and lament the number of fics with them in it. A LIFELONG STRUGGLE))

I've watched the movie probably a million times and I still cry at some parts, lol. It's such a great little movie.

Haha, I'm the same way!!! Personally, I find it really hard to write xingdae to where I feel satisfied with their characterization? So I sort of avoid doing it and then lament about how there's too little xingdae fics. True definition of #thestruggle lol

I've always been interested in exploring the part of xiuhan's relationship where Minseok might feel like he almost can't meet Luhan's expectations of him in a way? It's a lot to live up to! So where does that insecurity lead to? In what ways do we lie to ourselves about our feelings to avoid being vulnerable? How do we push people away? Now I'm just rambling lol. But hopefully some of that came across in the fic?

(Plus, in my mind they totally get back together after the xingdae wedding because they're totally meant to be. They just had to take a detour first.)

Oh I think all that definitely came across in the fic. You have such a way with words and in defining their feelings like this. And I do understand him feeling like he can't meet expectations. It's just a hard life, but yay for detours that finally lead back to the way! :))
