"OH GOD WHYYYYYYYY" was pretty much what I was thinking as I was writing it. I DID NOT KNOW I COULD BE SO CRUEL.
Still this was hella fun to write even with all these elements I usually shy away from (action?? character death? girl exo?? angst??) but most of all I am so proud i managed to stay away from my usual cracktastic route and write a legitimately sad fic for once. Wow, I haven't had the urge to stay up and finish a fic story in a while. This is so well written I really don't know where to start. The plot is great, has tender moments, slower scenes to build up the story and let the characters shine. But when there's conflict, it's well thought out and very intense. Great pace. The characters are so believable and you just want to root for them all. I've always found it hard to write multiple characters while keeping all of them interesting and balanced, but you've managed so well. Kudos! I also love how logical and precise your writing is, it works really well for action plots. Thank you for telling such a good story <3 I can't believe I've become one of those readers but I - I want more lol. I wish Kris and Baek had more development for their love story, and I really want to know what happens to everyone as they continue west

I'm glad the pacing didn't throw you off - I know it's all moving rather fast but I prefer to spend more time on a few key scenes instead of adding more details where it will just slow down the story. That might not make it an easy or elegant read but I'm relieved that seemed to work for you here!
Unfortunately the chances of me writing more in this verse are nil but let's pretend Krisbaek find their happy ever-after ;)

I should have seen what was happening with the puppy! Ohh poor Jongin and his bleeding heart. I can't say I love post-apocalyptic fics a lot (because they hurt!! lol) but I am a sucker for survival instincts and questions of humanity even in the midst of all of that, the "Are we bad people" thoughts, etc. And the bits of hope near the end, just enough to make me worry and wonder, but I love it all the same <3 Thank you for this! :3

I'm pretty sure as a reader I would hate this fic because of all the character death (AND THE PUPPY ACK) but as a writer, apparently I am a cruel, cold person (but, for my own piece of mind, let's pretend they all make it West in one piece and that ChenTao are there as well and they all live happily ever after).
There was a lot going on in this fic and I barely scratched the surface of most relationships/dynamics but I'm glad you liked those elements anyway. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!!!

This is so well written I really don't know where to start.
The plot is great, has tender moments, slower scenes to build up the story and let the characters shine. But when there's conflict, it's well thought out and very intense. Great pace.
The characters are so believable and you just want to root for them all. I've always found it hard to write multiple characters while keeping all of them interesting and balanced, but you've managed so well. Kudos!
