More fanart?
Haha maybe it seems like an overload of art in one day (yay for
charreed's ammmmazing graphic novel) but I thought I'd post my FIRST EVER OFFICIAL ANIMORPHS FANART for you guys. If it weren't for you all welcoming me into your community, I don't think I would have had the mojo to do this... so thank you! I'm mad inspired to start sketching again and I spent many hours fussing around with curves in photoshop instead of working. But hey, I'm not complaining.
This is just some character studies of the original five, focusing on how their posture/stance related to who they were. I sort of drew them older than they are supposed to be, but I couldn't help it. I'm thinking this might be how they looked nearing the end of high school. It makes me sad that Rachel is dead... she would have been such a knock out for sure.

I like Jake the best (in this drawing) and Marco the least. I couldn't quite get Marco's snarky little smirk down and I tried to draw him sort of rocking back on his heels but I don't think I succeeded very well. And his hair... GOD. It was so hard. But I guess that's just like Marco to be the difficult one. Tis okay! I will keep at it! Color-wise everyone is a little warped because of the strong blue light but WHATEVS. It's setting a mood. I was trying to make it look like a movie or something. I think they should make a live-action Animorphs movie with really pro computer graphics. That would be so epic, right?
I had all these little notes next to my sketches to try and think about how character traits would show up physically (i.e. Rachel should look a little indifferent in stance like "I'm not worried, just TRY and fuck with me, I dare you" and Tobias is sort of guarded but has a confident tilt in his chin and Jake is taking up space and rooting himself in the ground to look reliable etc.)
Do you think I succeeded or FAILED MISERABLY? And really, any serious concrit is fine with me. I've been through hellish four hour critiques before and survived so I welcome all you have to say :)
