I think the last thing they would do would be to allow one of their captives into their system, unfortunately. But I'm guessing this means they're not fully in control of this tower, or whatever experiments they've caused.

... I suspect there's more to this than them just being kidnappers, though. They probably have a reason for all this. I don't like whatever it is, either.
