A new semester

Wow! I haven't posted for a LONGGGGG time. School started at LCC this past week. I thought I would be in classes with only 18 year olds...I was gratefully surprised that about half the students are actually OLDER than me. We had to do this assignment in my Physiology Lab where we had to put our ages and pulse rates on the board (which is how I ( Read more... )

I'm excited for the new semester and new living arrangement too! I'll want to join you at the Riv sometime, I haven't been back to the bars yet since early summer... that needs to be remedied ;)

Glad your classes are going pretty well, physiology is hard but really interesting (in my experience) as long as you keep up on studying. If you want to go to Beaner's or the library for studying sometime let me know, I always have a ton I should be working on :)

Yes, we both have plenty of work set out for us! I'm probably going to be going to the riv again on Thursday. I have nothing Fridays till 1pm...I think you've got your internship or something at 9:00 Fridays? Perhaps we could get to the riv early then leave early so we can still get a good night's sleep. Perhaps the guys could go with us? And maybe the other girls from the V house?

Yeah I have work at 9am on Fridays (and soon an aerobics class starting at that time)... but I'm generally done by 4pm on Thursdays, so we could go early :) I know Phil has to work until 11-ish, but it would be cool if Matt could go and I bet Amy, Lauren, and Dayna (or some combination of them) would come with us! Let's plan on it for this week (as long as I get my independent study done, which is due Friday...)

Kat! I have not talked to you in awhile so I need an update with your life. You are taking classes at LCC and planning on going into nursing? What happened with your plan to go into social work? Hope you are doing great! Good luck this semester!

Hi Chris! Yes, I have decided to go on for a nursing degree after all. I'd like to use both social work and nursing by doing something within the field of international healthcare in developing countries. Nicaragua really pushed my focus in that direction.

I ran into Chandra on Grand River a couple weeks ago. She's still in the area, still studying rocks! :-) Perhaps we could get together sometime next time (if) you are ever in town. Or if it is better for you, she and I could drive up there.

How was your wedding? I hope it went well! Are you still completing your master's program at central? Let me know how things are going!

Wow, that is so totally awesome about your decision to go into international healthcare! I'd love to get together with you and Chandra sometime. I am somewhat flexible - I could come to Lansing or you girls could come here. Either one would work for me. I'd say we could meet somewhere in between, but there isn't anywhere to meet! The wedding was fantastic - it was such a great day! I am still here at CMU working on my degree in physical therapy. Talk to you soon!
