Sorry. Couldn't resist. I took some new pics of the girls today. They KNOW something is about to happen. Poor girls, I'm about to rock their pack dynamic - though Milo (soon to be Jason) is supposedly a very mellow boy and may not shake things up too much.
Anyway, here are the ladies. Refer back to the pics of Milo in my last puppy picspam post

I've been told that The New Guy is a lover, not a fighter ... at least where women's legs are concerned. The surgery he had today should fix that, LOL. Hope my three - who are essentially a widow, a spinster, and a young single woman - can handle him.

Just a question while I'm passing by, your beagels look quite big (not an insult, they're both awesomely beautiful! :D) What are their weight? Because Ophélie is about 18 pounds/8.18 Kgs. She's smaller than my cat. O_ô

They are not true purebred dogs - the beagles used for hunting have a little foxhound and maybe a little harrier in them, so they're bigger. Both of mine are probably taller at the shoulder than Ophélie.
Historically, beagles have been bred as tall as 20 inches at the shoulder, and as small as 5 inches. The "pocket beagles" were trendy in Victorian England, but currently the show circuit accepts only 13 inch and 15 inch. (Yes, I am full of random dog facts.)
